Who we are

Food Truck is a skip-the-queue ordering service for independent food trucks, coffee docks, and similar vendors, based in Dublin, Ireland. For privacy questions, email hello@food-truck.ie.

What we collect

• Customers: optional pickup name, an optional phone number (only the truck you ordered from sees it, so it can reach you about your order), order contents, and (if you pay by card) payment confirmation from Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
• Vendors: name, email (for magic-link sign-in), truck name, menu, location text, and subscription status, plus an optional mobile number and social media links if you add them (these are shown publicly on your ordering page). If you pay by bank transfer, we also keep the proof of payment you upload (for example a screenshot from your banking app) and any note you add. It is stored privately and only we can see it.
• Technical: basic logs needed to run the site (for example, to debug a failed order).

Why we use it

To take and fulfil orders, show vendors their kitchen queue, process card payments through Stripe Connect, keep vendor accounts signed in, and improve the product. We do not sell personal data.

Who else sees it

• The vendor you ordered from sees your pickup name and order.
• Stripe processes card payments into the vendor’s own account.
• Our hosting and database providers (for example Vercel and Supabase) store the service data.

How long we keep it

Orders are kept so vendors can see sales history and you can show a pickup ticket. Vendor accounts stay until they’re closed. You can ask us to delete data we hold about you, unless we need to keep it for tax, dispute, or legal reasons.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you’re in the EEA/UK you can ask for a copy of your data, corrections, deletion, or a restriction on processing, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission. Email hello@food-truck.ie and we’ll help.

Cookies

We use cookies that are needed to keep a vendor signed in and to run the site. We do not run advertising trackers on the ordering pages.

Changes

We’ll update this page if our practices change. Continued use of Food Truck after an update means you accept the new policy. See also our Terms.
