The short version

Food Truck lets customers order from independent food trucks and lets those vendors run a live kitchen queue. We provide the software. Each vendor is responsible for their food, prices, and service. Card payments (when enabled) go to the vendor via Stripe, not to us.

Using Food Truck as a customer

• Orders are an agreement between you and the vendor, not a purchase from Food Truck.
• Allergies, dietary needs, and “is this actually ready?” are for the vendor at the hatch.
• Refunds and complaints for the food itself should go to the vendor first.
• Don’t misuse the ordering page (fake orders, scraping, or anything that disrupts a truck).

Using Food Truck as a vendor

• You must be able to legally sell food in the places you operate.
• Keep your menu, prices, and “accepting orders” status accurate.
• The 30-day trial is free; after that the subscription is a flat monthly fee as shown at sign-up. We do not take a commission on orders.
• The subscription is paid by bank transfer. When you’ve paid, upload proof in your dashboard and we’ll extend your access once we’ve confirmed it. If your access ends without a confirmed payment, your ordering page is paused until it is.
• You’re responsible for your Stripe account, payouts, and tax.
• We may suspend an account that abuses the service or harms customers.

Availability

We aim to keep ordering and the dashboard up during service, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access. Internet, Stripe, or hosting outages can happen. Have a fallback (cash, verbal orders) if you need one.

Liability

To the extent Irish law allows, Food Truck is not liable for lost sales, spoiled food, allergic reactions, or disputes between a customer and a vendor. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Irish law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If a dispute can’t be sorted by email, the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction. Questions: hello@food-truck.ie. See also our Privacy Policy.
